We recommend a few simple care instructions to keep your pan in tip top condition and will give you years of use and satisfaction.
Before Use
Before use, wash in hot soapy water then rinse dry. Heat a little oil in the pan then allow to cool before pouring off. Wipe pan inside with kitchen paper Your pan is now ready for use
Regular Care
After a while your perfect pan will develop a brown residue on the interior surface this is carbon deposit, To remove the carbon warm your pan on the hob, add a little oil to the pan & rub with kitchen roll or a soft cloth, look at the cloth if there is a black or brown residue you are removing the carbon deposit, continue until no residue appears on the cloth. DO THIS ONCE A MONTH AND YOUR PAN WILL REMAIN PERFECT. ( needs to be done more often if pan is used daily)
It is important to wash your pan regularly with soapy water
Please do Not use scourers of any type on your cookware, a soft sponge to clean is all that is needed.
The purpose of the pan demonstration is to prove that your pan will stand up to serious abuse, we do not recommend that you re enact the demonstration.
Do not cook on high heat with olive oil as it burns at low temperatures and can cause a severe carbon deposit.
Here are some points to note If you use a dishwasher the base of your pan will go dull & grey due to salts etc, to get the surface clean and shiny you can use a brillo or metal polish. Every second time you put your pan through the dishwasher or habdwash it make sure you rub a little oil on the dry interior before packing away, this will protect the non stick from any harmful chemicals. Do not stack pans inside each other unless you have a perfect pan bag, this will protect your purchase, (please ask for details.) When you remove your food from your pan add a cup of water to the pan (even whilst hot) this will aid the cleaning process. The pan heats up in about 2 minutes & gives even heat distribution due to the cast alloy body. When you heat the pan up, turn your hob down slightly this will save money/energy. (gas or electric)
Do not leave your pan empty on a high heat for any length of time. |
